The Importance of Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)

Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) adds an extra layer of security to your online accounts, helping protect sensitive information.

What is 2FA?

2FA requires two steps to verify your identity when logging in:

Something you have: A code sent to your phone, an authentication app, or a security key.
Something you know: Your password.

Why Does It Matter?

1. Protect Against Hacking: Even if your password is compromised, 2FA makes it nearly impossible for attackers to access your account without the second factor.

2. Defend Against Phishing: If someone tricks you into sharing your password, they still can’t log in without the verification code.
